THE COUNTDOWN HAS STARTED! GET READY FOR 'NO ROOM FOR HATE DAY' ON TUESDAY 29TH MAY

The special day will be part of a larger campaign to raise vital funds for AKT’s core services like our emergency accommodation.

With 24% of young people at risk of homelessness identifying as LGBT, this is an important opportunity for us to raise awareness of LGBT youth homelessness across the country. We've called this No Room For Hate Day, because 77% of the young people we work with don't have a safe space of their own when we first meet them. This is because they've been rejected or subjected to abuse because they've been brave enough to come out to their families.

In the run up to the day, and on the day itself, we’ll be sharing powerful stories from LGBT young people who AKT have supported. Look out for videos, interviews and articles that you can share with your friends and networks..!

Show your support

We'll be organising groups of individuals to help with bucket collections on the day in key areas of London, Manchester and Newcastle.

We have special collection boxes available if you'd like to host an event or collect donations at work.

If you're part of a corporate LGBT network or would like to volunteer for us please get in touch
