Mentoring The Albert Kennedy Trust supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans homeless young people in crisis. Every day we deal with the effects homelessness can have on young people's lives. We have offices in London, Manchester and Newcastle. Tasks and Responsibilities Directly support young person in need of advice, guidance and support. Match with and meet either at the office or at a public venue in town (coffee shop etc.) to discuss issues with them. Volunteers should meet the following criteria: Over 25 years old Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with young people, other volunteers and members of staff Knowledge relating to: LGBT, Sexuality & Gender, Financial, Housing Experience working with vulnerable people We especially encourage BAME and trans* applicants. We are currently under-represented in BAME and trans* identity mentors. Support for Volunteers Volunteers receive the following support throughout their volunteering: Structured induction and training Ongoing support from your supervisor Access to further training Travel and other reasonable expenses reimbursed Interested?
