The Albert Kennedy Trust supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans homeless young people in crisis. Every day we deal with the effects homelessness can have on young people's lives. We have offices in London, Manchester and Newcastle.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning flats following the move out of a client
  • Painting and decoration flats before the arrival of a new client
  • Ensuring flat meets health and safety standards
  • Ensuring flat has all necessary items and goods for new residents.

Volunteers should meet the following criteria

  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with young people, other volunteers and members of staff
  • Painting and decorating knowledge useful but not essential

Support for Volunteers

Volunteers receive the following support throughout their volunteering:

  • Structured induction and training 
  • Ongoing support from your supervisor
  • Access to further training
  • Travel and other reasonable expenses reimbursed
