We're looking to recruit some more fantastic volunteers to a variety of different roles to support our vital work with LGBTQ+ young people in the North West.

We have an upcoming Volunteer Drop-In evening in Manchester City Centre - come along and find out more about volunteering at AKT!

Wednesday 5th December, any time between 4pm - 6pm

The Nook inside Nexus Art café, 2 Dale St, Manchester M1 1JW

Outreach Ambassadors

We are looking for volunteers to assist with our outreach work to reach more young people who may be in need of our support. This could include staffing an information stall at an event, delivering a presentation about our work at a school, college or university or using your own existing networks to spread the word. Come along to find out more about this great new opportunity!

Mentors

We will also be speaking about our mentor volunteer roles in which a volunteer is matched to work 1-1 with an LGBTQ+ young person to work on specific issues they may be experiencing.

Find out more here and/or come along to one of our drop in sessions!

Hosts (aged 25+ years old)

Are you passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ homeless young people? Do you have a spare room and are you based in the Manchester? Our host programme is one of the ways which you can offer support to a young person in your home, who has no safe place to live.

Find out more here and/or come along to one of our drop in sessions!

Refreshments will be provided.

For more information and to secure a place please email Kate Deamon, Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected]
