A new and exciting way in which we are raising awareness of AKT and its services is through scheduled monthly Facebook Live discussions, with a different topic each month.

Facebook Live enables audiences to engage with a charity on a personal level, and offer a level of support which is easily accessible. The live sessions coincides with our inter-AKT service, an online support service in which young LGBT+ people can chat to a digital mentor, with the options of chat, email or phone - a vital feature, as many young people do not always feel able to communicate through phone calls alone.

Our next Ask AKT Live session will take place on 26th of March and will discuss Mental Health and Housing. All you need to do to join in is log into Facebook and go onto AKT’s Facebook page at the designated time. You can join in on your laptop or phone, and ask questions by leaving comments on the video!

Following this, we will be hosting a drop-in live chat session on our Facebook page on 28th March at 4pm. If a young LGBTQ+ person needs help with any issues, or just has some burning questions for us, Leigh from our London office will be there to answer all their questions in this Facebook Live chat event.

You can also ask questions anonymously here. Make sure you've liked us on Facebook to keep up with our latest events!
