AKT were pleased to work with VERV, the first retail platform for gender fluid fashion on their Spring/Summer 2018 campaign. 

Moved by AKT’s work and their experiences of coming out, VERV’s co-founders, Sannu Shrestha and Abdul Adama approached AKT with an idea to highlight our work and young people in their first fashion campaign.  The multimedia campaign showcases the incredible courage and strength of Anira, King, Parishma and Yuuji from AKT and shines a spotlight on AKT’s important mission of preventing LGBT youth homelessness.  Many of the young people we help experience issues around self-esteem and body image and projects like this help them to feel empowered and supported in a positive environment.  The young people who took part gained confidence and enjoyed being pampered as part of a professional photo shoot.  

VERV will kindly donate 5% of sales from their Spring/Summer 2018 collection to fund AKT’s vital work with young LGBT people facing homelessness and rejection.
