The AKT Gala Dinner is a key date in the LGBT calendar, and this year’s event delivered an amazing night of entertainment, surprise guests and fundraising.

There was also an exclusive live auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime lots. During dinner guests heard from and met some of the incredible young people who have become Young Ambassadors for AKT.

By the end of the evening, guests had raised over £180,000 to help support AKT's work with young homeless LGBT people.

Guests on the night included Dan Gillespie-Sells and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who said:

I was really happy to be asked to perform at AKT’s Gala Dinner. I know how vitally important the work of The Albert Kennedy Trust is. AKT changes lives, and gives young LGBT homeless people the start in life they deserve.

Host for the evening was the fabulous Gok Wan, adding "I’m honoured that AKT asked me to host their annual fundraising Gala Dinner in London on 19th October. An amazing opportunity to directly support The Albert Kennedy Trust, and… a night to remember.”

If you couldn’t make it this year, there’s always next year. Keep an eye on our website for details in the coming months.
