The 80s - that decadent decade of big hair, big shoulders and big statements - makes a bold, glamorous return at this year’s akt Gala on Thursday 17th October.

Taking place within the opulent, art-deco music venue Troxy in London, this is your chance to dress-to-excess and help us raise money for vulnerable young LGBTQ+ people who are facing or experiencing homelessness.

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that TV legend and all-round fabulous person Rylan Clark-Neal will be hosting the Gala for us this year. Rylan’s co-hosts for the night will be the amazing comedian, actress, writer and singer Jayde Adams along with gender bending drag queen comedian John Sizzle.  We’re also excited to announce that London drag collective Sink The Pink will be on-hand all evening, displaying their renowned drag deviance and debauchery, making sure your night will be a bright, brash and colourful one to remember. They will be supported by the amazing queens The Twinnies, Coco Fontaine, and Chamonix Aspen.

Entertainment for the evening comes to us direct from the 80s, and we can promise you some high-energy acts and your favourite throwback hits. Add to this a drinks reception, three-course meal, 80s themed activities, a live auction (with a fab game-show twist!), and it promises to be a Gala like no other.

Book your seats now!  The akt Gala 2019 is going to be THE highlight of the LGBTQ+ calendar, and we hope that you’ll be able to join us on this special night to celebrate our work with young LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness.
