Meeting new people is exciting but it's important to remain cautious when you're meeting someone for the first time.

Make sure a close friend knows where you're going and who you're meeting.

Stick to a public place when you meet for the first time and don't let someone pressure you into meeting somewhere you don't want to.

Remember that apps like Tinder and Grindr are 18+ only
