Have a purple day in your office
•  Get your boss to declare one Friday dress down day with a £1 donation to AKT from each person who participates. Encourage people to wear something purple - AKT's colour
•  How camp is your office? Find out by getting people to take part in AKT's lunchtime gay themed quiz. Charge an entry fee to each team and ask you boss to provide a prize to the winning team.

Hang a sexy man on your wall.

Recruit a friend.
•  If you are already a donor why not encourage a friend to donate

Run for your life..
•  Take part in one of the countries fun run's on behalf of AKT and get people to sponsor you. Just register with a fun run online or contact us directly for more details. Then you will need to set up a donors page on www.justgiving.com/akt/donate

Do a sponsored something or other.
•  Got a great idea for a challenge which you think your friends, family and work colleagues might sponsor you to do? It could be losing weight, or even the old favourite of sitting in a bath of beans!

•  Join our fundraising team and collect at events and venues. The more people we have the greater our potential to raise money. We have some fun events coming up such as a collection in Soho 's gay bars. We are planning a range of events across Manchester and London . •  Queer up North are hosting a comedy night at Manchester 's famous 'Comedy Store' on 7 th May with profits from ticket sales coming straight to AKT. For more details go to our new section or book tickets via www.queerupnorth.com
•  For those of you who like the big band sound.The Besses of The Barn world famous brass band will be performing a concert in support of AKT in September. Watch this space for more details.
