“That’s when I found out about The Albert Kennedy trust…”

As a small charity, we rely heavily on the support of volunteers. One example of how a group of volunteers become invaluable is with our 2 fundraising committees

London Committee - Launched first, this committee has been going since Summer 2008 and has around 12 members. The committee normally meets on Tuesday evenings every 6-8 weeks at our offices near Chancery Lane tube. The committee helps with everything from shaking buckets at collections to helping to organise fundraisers. We are currently looking for new members; especially women as they are heavily under-represented at the moment.

Manchester Committee - This brand new committee currently has only 5 members so far. As AKT was launched in Manchester, we want to have more events starting in the City and members are in the process of spreading the word about our work. Can you spare a couple of hours every 6 - 8 weeks and come to a meeting? If so, please get in touch and make a huge difference to the lives of the young people in our care.

No experience is needed. Just enthusiasm to help AKT make a difference.
