Britain’s premier 10K, the BUPA Great Manchester Run 2012 will be held on Sunday 20 May 2012. Sign-up NOW to join "Team AKT" and help raise funds for the Albert Kennedy Trust!

The Bupa Great Manchester Run will be staged over a course of 10km, which has been officially measured and certified.

You can check out the course map for the 2011 Run at the Great Run Website, to give you an idea of the possible route. The 2012 route may be different and will be posted on the, linked to, map page when finalised.

In 2011, the start line was on Portland Street near the junction with Oxford Street while the finish line was on Deansgate.

Other facilities for runners in 2011 included the “run-through" shower just before the end of Trafford Wharf Road at around the 6.5km point. 

In addition, there were several Bands on the Run positions throughout the course to ensure runners receive that all-important musical boost at regular intervals.

Each year the race has been a sell out event and we at the AKT have secured 15 places for runners. Enter NOW to avoid missing your chance to take part in this great event!

Registration is just £25 (as an AKT Charity Runner - instead of the normal £37 entry fee) and we ask a commitment to raise a minimum of £150 per person through sponsorship.
